Camille and her brothers

Camille is at such a fun age.  Her personality is really coming out and she's not afraid to show it!
She has so much energy!  This girl keeps me on my toes!
If I take my eyes off her for even a moment, she runs to the bathroom to play in the toilet or starts pulling stuff out all over the house.  I don't understand her obsession with toilets!  It's driving me crazy and I hope it ends soon.... like tomorrow!

She's a smile factory!  Always giving out smiles to everyone, everywhere.
She just started playing pretend.  Usually she pretends to talk on the phone.  Grant used to do that a lot at her age and it's so funny to see how alike they are.
Speaking of Grant, doesn't he look so grown up here?
And here's one of Brett too, because he's just so cute!
 Back to Camille.
She loves to play outside.  She runs all over the yard and keeps herself very busy checking everything out.
What a fun girl we have!

The weekend is here and it will probably be low key.  All of us are at different stages of a cold.  Grant is pretty much done, Camille almost, Brett and I are in the thick of it, and Keith just started today.  Ugh!  We'll have to all go sit in the backyard and soak up some sun.  That always helps!
Have a good weekend!

Grant turns 6

Last Friday Grant started his super fun birthday #6 with presents in the morning.
Keith and I stayed up late decorating and making a special birthday gift.
I sewed him a new super hero shirt.  His was over three years old and didn't fit anymore.  So I made him this one that has the "Flash" logo on the front.  He thought it was the awesomest thing ever.  And I'm so glad because I was up really late making that shirt!
We also gave him this great set of Legos.
Keith had found them on Craigslist in this wonderful container!
 Checking out the pieces.
My little superhero man and me.
Grant took birthday cookies to school to share with his class.
Then we picked him up early to have a special day date with Keith and I.
When I got him from school the first thing he said was, "Can we just go home and play with Legos?"
Ha!  He sure loves his Legos, and has spent a bunch of time at that table creating things, but we had some fun plans that we weren't going to give up.
We started with Grant's free birthday lunch at Joe's Farm Grill.  Yum!!!
Next we went to Top Golf.  During the day is the best time to go!  We didn't have to wait and we got primo treatment since it was Grant's birthday.
He loved it!  And they gave him a free dessert for his birthday.

Trying to tag the golf-ball-picker-upper-cart (is there a name for that?)  He almost got it!

That night we had Keith's parents and grandparents over for pizza and cake.
An awesome Lego set from Keith's parents.
Two cute tractors from Keith's grandparents.
 Cake time!
The next day we had my family over for BBQ hamburgers and strawberry short-cake.
My talented mom made Grant this adorable bear.  Grant loves it so much and quickly named it Snuffy.
Here's a closer look at that beautiful bear.
 Dessert time!
I'd say Grant had a pretty spectacular birthday.  It was so fun to celebrate with him.  He's such a neat kid and we are so blessed to have him in our family!

Up

Last week the Young Women in our ward came over to set up New Beginnings in our back yard. (Keith's mom is the YW President in our ward)
Camille was so excited to have attention from all those sweet girls!
All of my kids were so excited to have our toy room turn into this.
And I was excited to see our backyard turn into this.  And I didn't have to do a thing!
Those Young Women worked hard and thought of this idea and set it all up (with a little help).
Their topic was about service and they chose to use the theme of "Up" (the movie).
They turned our toy house into the Up house!
My kids have never seen the movie, but they sure thought this was cool!
Everyone came in from the side gate.  It was such a lovely night outside.
They all got one of these bottles of 7 UP with a list of "Up" things.

In the middle of the program they all did a flash-mob dance that was soooo cute!
Then they had ice-cream cones (like in the movie).
I am so glad that we got to have this in our back yard!  It gave me a greater appreciation for the YW in our ward and I got to know a lot of them better.  They are awesome!

Valentine weekend and Chard

Last weekend felt like a vacation.  It was so nice to have Keith home for a long weekend.  We made a point to stay home as much as possible.  Saturday morning led us to this beautiful tree that I've been eyeing on my jogs.  I love how it hangs so pretty next to the lake.

It looks good with kids too!
 Even silly kids
and kids with wild bed head :)
Then we had our Valentine pancake breakfast.
Couldn't get everyone to smile at once so here's another
On Valentine's Day night we fed the kids and put them to bed, then ordered prime rib from Texas Roadhouse and watched a show.  It was perfect!
Sunday was church and a family dinner with Keith's parents.  Camille and I stayed home since she'd woken up with a fever after her Saturday nap and then had a fever on Sunday.
Monday was another beautiful day together.  At some point we built this awesome fort.  The boys dragged a whole bunch of toys from the house out to their fort.
And then on Tuesday, Brett picked some chard for our dinner and a couple beets from our garden.

Tonight we're feeding the missionaries dinner.  Better go finish making the pie!
Happy Wednesday!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Last night I made up these Valentine fruit kabobs and delivered them to our parents and to the ladies that I visit teach.  I was about to make sugar cookies, but didn't really think that we all needed the extra sugar this weekend and this idea popped into my mind.  I think I might make this a Valentine tradition!
The sunset last night was so beautiful!
Happy Valentine's Day!  I will be spending the day with my hubby and kids.  We're going to have a yummy Valentine pancake breakfast on the back patio.  We'll play all day, and maybe we'll go swimming.  And then we'll get the kids to bed early and pick up some take out and watch a movie.
Sounds like my kind of day!
Hope yours is great too!

Here's this year's Valentine we sent out to family.

Planting Petunias

Brett helped Keith plant petunias this morning.

And Camille came out to help.
