Symphony Hall

On Friday night we were invited by our friends Shari & Rich to the symphony to see "The Piano Men." It was the music of Elton John and Billy Joel. Jim Witter and his band were accompanied by the Phoenix Symphony. Jim Witter sang all the songs (and sounded a lot like Elton John), while facts and trivia from the 70's was projected onto a screen behind them.

Our favorite part was when they did The Crocodile Rock and he got 8 people from the audience to do the "Nah..........na, na, na, na, na.... part.

Afterwards, we went to get gelato from the only place to get great gelato (that we've found yet). Thanks to Shari & Rich for a fun night out!

An Alligator!

Keith and I went to the lake/pond by our house and were feeding the ducks. Below is the beautiful resident swan that likes to be where the action is. As we were sitting there peacefully we noticed something else moving in the water. I could have sworn it was an alligator (despite the fact that we don't get those here). I figured someone had a baby alligator and let it go in the water. (That's possible, right?) All we could see was this dark green lumpy round thing coming up slowly, just like an alligator does while it's waiting to get it's prey. It seriously looked like the eye or tip of the head of an alligator!!! Keith went closer to check it out as I stood on the bench. Then suddenly it came to the surface. It was a really cute turtle! And it liked to eat the bread! What a relief! :)
Here's the turtle swimming next to the swan. There was at least one other turtle out there also.

Easter

Our annual Easter picnic with Keith's family was a blast! It was great to have mostly everyone there including Lynn, Reese, Tori, and Nicole (we missed those of you who couldn't come). We had yummy food and fun games. Thanks goes to Jill for putting together the easter relay. Some enjoyed the newly resurfaced heated pool (I opted to be the photographer instead). We played tennis, extreme tennis, and around the world tennis.

This activity deserves a new paragraph: The Annual Egg Roll! For a year the trophy had been held by Kristy & Jason. Would they arise with a winning egg? After the defeat of many creatively decorated eggs, the DeWitts did do-it again! Are we sure they weren't cheating? Did they really coat their eggs in their Mod Podge? Was it the fact that their eggs had scary faces drawn on them? No, they just boiled them for about 20 minutes and that seemed to have given them extra strength. Congratulations Kristy & Jason for 2 years in a row!

While we were waiting for our table at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., we walked down to the beach and saw this guy twirling flaming things on strings.

Working in L.A.

This is us working in Los Angeles last week. This is the 3rd trade show that I've worked with Keith. It's kind of cool because now I actually know a few people from previous shows. This was the CSUN assistive technology conference. Keith works for EyeTech. They have a system that allows users to control the computer with just their eyes. It's really fun to show it to people, especially to those who come to the conference who have a real need for the technology due to an injury or disability. This is us enjoying Santa Monica beach next to the pier after a long day of standing at the conference. As we were walking to the pier we saw a life gaurd tower and a life guard headquarters. It looked sooooooooooo much like Baywatch! After the first day of the conference we went to the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica where we ate at Johnny Rockets, and enjoyed shopping and looking at all the cool stores in the area. Very cool place to go!
We even ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Below you'll see Keith sitting on the bench wearing Forrest Gump's running shoes. They had really good food and everything there had to do with the movie. And to top it all off, when we were walking back to our car, we saw a white feather floating by us, just like in the movie!!!

1) These both count at number one. One for Keith, and one for me. The first is the infamous picture of Keith in his sisters swimsuit. Ha ha ha! The second is of me and my dad at a daddy daughter 50's party when I was 10 (I think).

2) My sisters and I took a trip together (I think it was in 2003) to New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and back home. This is us on top of the conference center.


3) One of our favorite honeymoon pictures.

4) This is one of our favorite wedding pictures.

5) I don't remember having this picture taken, but it was before we were married. I really like it. We have it in our office.

6) How could it get any better? In the top picture we were up in Salt Lake for Keith's cousin's wedding in April 2005. We had only been dating for 2 months at that point. In the bottom picture, we were in Salt Lake for my cousins wedding in April 2006. It was the exact same day as the year before, but now we were married. We had to take another picture in the same spot.

7) These three pictures all count as one. It shows us around the giant icecream cone in Raton, New Mexico in June 2005, June 2006, and then June 2007. And we plan on getting another picture this year, but it will probably be in August.

8) This is the day we moved out of our first house. Hooray!

9) I love this picture because it really shows how Keith makes me crack up all the time! Either by tickling me or saying something really funny. He has such a great love for life and sense of humor.

10) We just took this picture last weekend at Keith's company party at Castle's 'N Coasters. We brought our neice and nephew with us. They had so much fun and were fearless on all the rides. After our fun day they slept all the way home.
