January things

Early in January, Keith and I got to go on a hike without the kids.
There was still snow in the shady areas on the Superstitions from a couple days before.
And I don't want to forget about how I got a jumping cactus stuck through my shoe and into the side of my foot, just after we had finished talking about them!  Those things are crazy!  Keith rescued me and knocked it off with his car keys.
We went to the other side of town for the baby blessing of my cousins sweet new baby girl.
She made her this beautiful dress!  This is the same cousin that made Camille's cute raccoon for her birthday.
My dad kept the boys entertained with this huge rock outside the church building.  They pretended they were riding on a horse.
We drove by the Phoenix Temple while we were out that way.  I hadn't seen it yet and it was so pretty!
The tops of some of our trees froze so Keith gave them a trim.
 Busy, busy girl!
I made this wild blackberry pie.  Oh, it was so good!  I started using this crust recipe and I can't get enough of it!  Plus it's always fun to do a lattice top!
 Here' some more food.  :)
I made this Baked Potato Soup for the second time.  It's amazing!  Totally restaurant worthy.  We had some friends over and everyone loved it.
Brett wanted to sit in the high chair.  It's so hilarious how big he is in that thing now.
We enjoyed some sunshine in the backyard.

 I was there too!
My boys love taking pictures with my camera.  And I love handing it over to them and then seeing what they captured.
Brett LOVES olives.  He has some almost every day with his lunch.
I got new hair!  Ha!  Just kidding.
I was going through some stuff and found this wig that I'd bought for Halloween, but never got to wear it.  So I put it on and gave everyone a good laugh.  We put it on the kids too and it was so funny.  Especially funny on Camille, but I don't have that picture.  I'll have to get it from Keith.
Our days are full of soccer practice, piano, homework, naps, trying out the recipes that I've saved on Pinterest, keeping up with Camille, working on projects around the house (I have several going on right now), playing outside, working hard, reading books, lots of dishes and laundry, and cleaning up the floor after Camille eats.  We're staying busy and having lots of fun.

Sick Kids

All the kids were sick this weekend.  Nothing major, just super bad coughs and runny noses.  We found a nice spot in the sunshine yesterday and soaked up some Vitamin D and fresh air.
And Keith and I switched spots at church so we could both take care of our lessons for the day.
Grant went to school today.  Coughs are no fun, but you can't really miss school for two or three weeks until they are gone!

And Camille ran around the backyard with her purse!

When Aunt Wendy comes to town

Keith's sister was here from Utah this past weekend.  Just her, without her cute family (who were missing her a ton).  We got to hang out with her a lot!
We had a family dinner at our house (since it was all set up for a party anyway!).  We celebrated all of the January birthdays.
She read this book to my boys, twice.  The next day I heard the boys talking to each other about Aunt Wendy reading to them.  They loved it!
We had a fun family night playing tennis & having pizza and brownies.  These cute kids ran around while the adults took turns playing.
We also went with the adults to Top Golf and dinner.  Brett, Camille, and I got to meet Grandma and Wendy for lunch on Tuesday.  And Wendy got to walk Grant to school one day.
So much fun!  Come again soon, Wendy, and bring everyone else too!

Camille's 1st Birthday

We held a "Pancakes & Pajamas" party to celebrate Camille's 1st Birthday!  Here's Camille having her pre-breakfast before the party.
There was lots of yummy food.
Including mini pancakes and mini german pancakes.
A big thanks to our moms and sisters for helping with the food!
Brett had soccer pictures that morning and came back home just in time to enjoy some pancakes.
Isn't he so cute?!  His shorts kept falling off.  Keith's sister showed us a trick to keep them up.  I hope it holds during his games.  :)

Cake time!  She loved the Happy Birthday song!
 Mmmmm... Yummy!

A year ago we welcomed Camille to the world.  Now she's a spunky toddler.
She knows how to ham it up really well.

She's such a happy little girl!

We had a fun photo session with everyone.

My mom.
 Handsome Brett.
My niece.
 Camille.
 Us.
 My Aunt and my mom.
 Keith's parents and his sister.
 My nephew.
 Keith's sister's family.
My cousin and her cute family.
My brother's family (minus my brother and one daughter).
 Ready for presents!
My cousin made this adorable raccoon for Camille with a matching headband for Camille!
 Ponies from Keith's parents.

My mom finished Camille's stocking.  It turned out so cute!

I made Camille her own superhero shirt with a removable cape and power bands.
We got her a baby stroller.  She loves it!
Then Grant left for his soccer pictures and first soccer game.
Such a handsome, toothless, soccer player!
It was such a fun party with our family!  Camille loved it all and then took a big nap... and so did I!
