Keith's Birthday

Last Friday Keith and I went away for a night to celebrate his birthday.  But first he got to open his presents from us, which included a new swimsuit to use on our little stay-cation (pics from that fun time coming soon).
On Sunday night we had Keith's family over for dinner and cake.
His mom made this delicious and beautiful chocolate cake for the occasion.
It was cool enough to eat outside...yippee!  We enjoyed our ribs (also made by his mom), twice baked potatoes, watermelon, salad, and rolls.
The kids ran around and had a good time and then we had cake and ice-cream.
And then the kids did more running around. :)
Happy Birthday Keith!

A few things

Grant came home from school as a lady bug last week!
His class just finished their lady bug unit for science.
Then on Saturday, Keith gave the boys a bug collecting kit that he'd gotten at a garage sale.
It kept them busy all day, it was awesome!
Keith then took the boys to the driving range and Grant found a lady bug there.  He was so excited!
They put it in a bottle and brought it home and now it's living in a little bug house on his dresser.
It's name is Ripsy, and it is a well loved little bug.
I think Brett took this picture.  I'm just cleaning out Grant's folder after school.
It seems like there is SO MUCH paper to go through every day.  Of course most of it gets tossed, but I can't imagine how much more there will be when all of the kids are in school!
My amazing helper.  I say it all the time, but this little guy is always willing to help.
He helped me wash chard from our garden for our dinner after he hauled it all into the house in his cute little arms.
And here's what keeps me on my toes every day.  Oh, this girl is a handful!  A very cute handful.  And it's good that she's so cute, because she's a handful!  Did I say that already?

This week

We enjoyed watching Grant's baseball games.  My grandparents & parents were able to come to one of them.  Grant was super excited to have them there!
Keith's grandpa had a birthday.  We stopped by to wish him a Happy Birthday.
Brett went in for one of his Great-Grandma hugs and kisses.
This grandma is a big time cheek kisser.  I'm pretty sure she gave me a big kiss on the cheek the first time I met her!  I love that even though she's not herself these days, the cheek kissing remains in force.  :)
Camille was thrilled about holding Keith's mom's cell phone.
We brought the boy's plasma cars to race around my parents backyard when we went over for a BBQ.
This little path makes the perfect road for them!

We had a good time altogether. Yum!

 Checking out the grass.
 "Hi!"
 My super duper watering helper!
One of my favorite things in our backyard is this hanging pot of flowers.  I get to gaze at it through my kitchen window every day.
She climbed in here and got comfy.  Reminds me of a newborn photo session.  :)
A quick visit to my parent's house to say good bye to my grandparents.
We had a baby shower here last night for my wonderful neighbor.  They have two boys and are expecting a girl.
I had fun with this glitter paper.  I love this stuff!  I get it at Hobby Lobby and make things with it all the time.  It's super sturdy which makes it great for decorations that you want to keep, and the glitter is so fun!

One of the ladies who helped with the food made this cute baby in a watermelon.
 Lots of fun girl clothes!
Oh, these two keep me busy!  They nap at the same time now, which is totally awesome!
I'm so glad to have such fun and cute little people to hang out with all day!
That's all for now.  Have a great weekend!

Easter 2015

We started out Easter morning with a little hunt for Easter baskets.
I prepared 6 clues that led the kids to spots around the yard.
Grant sounded out the words on the papers and did a great job reading them.
Our hunt started at the front door and after they got started I ran inside and got their baskets and put them out by the front door.  I'm so sneaky!  :)
It's as if Camille was saying, "There you are, my pink ball, I've been missing you!"
She grabbed this ball right away and loved carrying it around.
 Checking out her loot.
We had traditional waffles in-between General Conference sessions at Keith's parent's house.  His sister and her cute family were there too.  The kids had so much fun.
Grandpa set up an Easter egg hunt for them.

All of the eggs had coins in them.
Afterwards, Grandpa taught the kids how to pay their tithing.  Brett came up to me after we got home and asked for an envelope so he could take the money to church and then "after we leave, Jesus will come and get it."  It was so cute!
Cute bunny cake that Keith's mom made.

Skypeing with one of Keith's sisters.
Grant got really good at his hoola-hoop!
We had my family over for dinner that night.

My cousins talented wife made these super cute deviled eggs.
 All set.
All together.  You can almost see everyone.  We'll have to try better next time. :)
 Dessert time.

The kids had so much fun playing.
 Another Easter egg hunt.
Camille perched herself on one of her favorite spots.
It's always fun to chat with my grandparents.  We're so happy that they were in town!

It was a beautiful Easter Sunday surrounded with family.  I wouldn't have it any other way.
