My attempt at the onesie dress
And just for kicks, here's Grant taking his very first ride in a shopping cart! I'm glad I had my camera with me. He looks a little concerned and he was hanging on really tight, but overall it went very well and he really seemed to like it.

Did you go to the William Joseph Concert?
To start the entertainment, none other than Mary Hoffman, my buddy from high school. We used to talk guitars and stuff during chemistry class, but she actually did something with it. It was so good to see her. It was Keith's first time to see her perform and he loved it. Hopefully she'll go out for American Idol this next year. Keep your eyes peeled!
Most of the night was filled with laughs from some of the crew from Jester'z. They were hilarious.
Keith and I had a great night. It was nice to be out on the town again, but it's amazing how it's harder to stay out so late now!

Colorado 2009
We enjoyed the nice drive with Grandma & Grandpa Hurst. Grant did so well. Much better than our trip to Utah this summer.
We had a great time at my dad's parents house. My sisters came down from Wyoming to visit too. Grant got to sit in the highchair that used to be my dad's. We played croquet, went rollerblading by the river and at the park, ate my grandma's fantastic food, went shopping, watched General Conference, played farkle & dominos, and enjoyed being with family. It was pretty chilly so it was fun for us to wear our jackets since we don't get to do that often around here. For some reason Grant didn't think it important to sleep through the night on our trip like he usually does, so we had quite a few rough nights. He went back to being a great sleeper as soon as we got home.

Hard at work in Switzerland
Keith got to go to Switzerland for work two weeks ago. The flights there and back were tough, but he says it was worth it. The Gelato place, pictured at the top, looks a lot like one here in Phoenix that has the same name. We're still trying to figure out if it's the same people that own it. The gelato shop here is way good. It's on 40th St. and Campbell. And let me tell you, it's the real deal. Yum! So here are some pictures of Keith working hard.

Sisters
My sister's Ann & Amber (and Amber's husband Michael) were here last week from Wyoming. I love spending time with my sisters. We swam, made lots of good food, played games, shopped, and just had fun being together with all our family. Here we are early in the morning the day they left to go back home. California Dream'n
Keith had a conference for work in San Diego last week so Grant and I came along for the ride along with his co-worker's wife and 3 year old boy. We had fun going to Sea World for two days, taking a quick drive over to Coronado Island and Seaport Village, and having our husbands meet us at Sea World one of the nights.

Trip to Utah
Keith's aunt got married in the Draper temple on Saturday. What a beautiful temple! The sealing room was huge. It's occupancy is 70! It was so nice to have a chair for everyone and room to spare. We enjoyed the sealing and then had a nice lunch at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Notice the candy bar. All five of the mom's with the babies that had been born into the family recently were all there. It was fun to have all the babies together.
Our nephew, Ryan, was blessed on Sunday while we were there. He's so sweet. It was his first time to church since he was born 5 months ago. Grant had fun playing with him even though Ryan accidentally punched him in the jaw (note the picture on the top right). It was pretty funny, Grant's not used to being picked on. Grant also had his first babysitter that wasn't a family member. That was a big step for me.
We broke the trip home up a little. We stayed the night at Bryce Canyon and did a small hike there the next day. Grant loved all the fresh air.

We were having such a fun time, so we decided to stay an extra day and go to Zion's National Park also. There were so many squirrels (or chipmunks?)! They were everywhere, even climbing on cars. It was a pretty hot day so we only did part of an easy hike. Grant pretty much slept the whole time. That was nice.
