One of my friends, Mary, from high school is quite the musician. We went out to her concert at the Mesa Arts Center yesterday. She puts on a great show. Grant was so captivated the whole time. I thought he might want to run around, but his eyes and attention were on the "tar" and Mary not stop. He was very excited to meet her after the show. He talked about "the show" and the "tar" for the rest of the day, and then again today. He just love guitars, or "tars".
The weather was so perfect for an outside concert. Brett was in love with the music too.
Everyone got a ticket for a raffle after the show. Grant wouldn't put his ticket down. He thought it was sooooo cool!
For dinner that night I made some shish-kabobs. We don't have a BBQ so I put them under the broiler. Worked great and they tasted great! I put my chicken in a Teriyaki marinade for a few hours. I brushed the onions and peppers with garlic butter while they're cooking. Served it up with coconut rice, steamed beets and a salad.
Interested in going to a show outside at the Mesa Arts Center? They have one every Thursday at lunch time ('til the end of March).

What a fun lunch with those cute boys. We'd love to meet you there, I'd forgotten about those lunches, I've always wanted to go but always had Seminary every Thursday. Would love the recipe for that chicken and coconut rice I've never heard of that, thanks for sharing! Love Marsha
