Day 2...golf & visits

Keith was able to play in a golf tournament with our bro-in-law while we were in Utah.  They played in the beautiful town of Midway at the Homestead resort.  We came to pick him up afterwards and took some time to hit a few balls.

After putt-ing around, we visited the train station.  Grant loved getting a close look at a real live train.

As we left the train station, I noticed that Grant was super warm.  He'd had a low fever that morning.  I took his temperature and it was super high.  Like 106!  So we gave him some medicine and got him a fruit smoothie.  We drove to the hospital, but took his temp one more time.  It had gone down significantly so we didn't take him into the ER.  The weather didn't feel very hot to us, since we are used to much warmer temps down here in AZ, but it must have been warm enough to heat up our little guy.  His fever stayed down and was gone by the next day.

Next we went to visit Keith's aunt Debbie in Heber, who lived not far from the hospital.  We had a nice visit there and the boys had a great time playing with toys in their basement.

When I was fresh out of high school I had a short career as a college student in Utah.  One of my roommates, Christy, was from Midway, and we frequently visited her parents.  It was a home away from home for me.  So while we were in town we took our boys to meet them.

Chatting on the front porch.  Such nice people.  They really know how to make you feel at home.
After Grant showed off his golf and baseball skills, he got to see the cows and lambs.

Stay tuned for more...

What a wonderful day you really got some great pictures of the fun. Golf, cows, lambs, and the forever favorite train you can't beat that. Those matching swing shots are amazing and that little Brett playing with the golf balls in so darn cute. Thanks for sharing. Gr and Gr Jackson
