Some Happenings

We went swimming.Our family.

My sister and niece came over the night before for a fun sleepover. We watched Nancy Drew, ate popcorn and ice cream, and painted our toenails.

FYI

***BUYER BEWARE***
I love these chip clip things. "What's the difference?" you may ask. Well, the boring looking clips on the right are from Pampered Chef. That's were I first got them. And I like them a lot. For some reason I thought that they were the only company that made them. Then one day, as I was walking through Ikea I saw the clips on the left. They're beautiful-just look at those colors! And I thought, "GEE, THESE LOOK JUST LIKE THE CLIPS I HAVE!" So I bought them. When I got home I pulled out my Pampered Chef clips and looked inside them and the Ikea clips and WHOA they are made by the same company in Sweden!
"So what's so cool about that?" you may now be thinking. Well, the pampered chef clips come in a package of 10 for $5.50, while the beautiful, brightly colored, funner to look at clips come in a package of 30 for only $2.99! I have even seen them for sale at Storables in a little package of like 3 or 5 for around $3.00. How do they rate? So now you know.

They started out like this...
(well, these had just been cut)
And they ended up like this...
I think they turned out really well.

Now I have 3 other projects in the works that I'll be posting soon.
One of the projects is for this handsome guy...

A few more things

Grant loves to look at the green draperies in his room.
Sporting his All Star PJ's for the first time.
Keith just happened to have the little bat.

Dad's sure do have their own style.

Cardboard Boat Races

Have you ever been to the cardboard boat races at Tempe Town Lake?
We went 2 weekends ago.
I would love to make a boat for next years race.
This boat is in a category that allows for mechanical things to make it move instead of paddling.

I thought this boat was cute. I like the bumper sticker.
It belonged to a group of girls that all wore poodle skirts for the race.

Here's another mechanical boat. It's name is Mobey Brick. It's head, arms, and legs move. There's a guy inside peddling to make it go.

"Gee whiz Grandma, it sure got hot out today!"
