I'm playing catch-up here this week. There's May-September (?) that I never got documented on this blog. And there was a lot going on, so I really need to get it on here once and for all!
It's crazy how as I look back at all of these pictures, it feels like these things happened years ago. It's funny how having a baby really warps time!
We got a few peaches on our tree this year! They looked really pretty and they tasted ok. They have more of a flowery taste than I prefer. I guess we didn't know what variety of peach tree we were buying, because I sure wouldn't have picked this one. Who knows, maybe next year they'll taste better?
I love how Camille needed to show off something too. Ha! :)
Yoga stretches in the middle of our jog/bike ride.
We spent a lot of time playing in the water in the backyard.
You can barely see them, but there are a bunch of little ducks huddled together down on edge of the grass by the water. I thought it was such an odd place for them because there's quite a drop off there and I couldn't figure out how they got up there. We get to see a lot of baby ducks here in our area in the spring.
I got to go to "Mother's Day Tea" at Grant's school class. These descriptions were all on the wall outside the classroom and we had to guess which one described us. It took me a while. I think I forgot that I had four kids! Ha!
"I have brown hair and blue
eyes. I have four children.
I like to sleep, read
and water the garden.
who am I?"
Very true. And no, I was not the only mom who likes to sleep. There were quite a few of us who had that as one of our hobbies! So funny!
This was the picture of me inside the paper above. I think he nailed it! ;)
They sang the cutest songs and all read parts of the book "Love You Forever" (which is totally cruel, because that book always makes mom's cry!) Then they served us cake and lemonade. Here's a portrait Grant made of me:
We had dinner outside.
Mother's day came. The boys must have sang in church (but I honestly don't remember!), and we visited my mom and grandma that night.
My brother and his family showed up while we were there also.
Tyler got his photo with Dr. Layton, who was the doctor that delivered all our babies.
Playing outside on a Monday evening.
Hey look, I made it into a picture!
Thinking.
Here's another picture I'm in. Isn't that the way it goes? I feel like most of the pictures that I'm actually in are blurry. Or I'm making a weird face. Ha! Well at least it's documented that we ate dinner outside, again. :)
We got away on a date. My favorite place to eat lately is Brio. I am in LOVE with their beef medallions. I could eat those things every day!
Keith got this really yummy roasted chicken this time, but he also really likes to get their lasagna.
I'm getting hungry just looking at these pictures. You've got to try it! And then go next door to Frost for some really great gelato!
Chilling out with Mommy.
The boys don't really play this game yet, but they do like to play with the pieces. Here's their masterpiece.
Deep thoughts on the changing table.
Taking a gift (a gold letter "R") to his teacher at the end of the school year.
He's grown up so much over the summer! Those eyes!
Doing what he did best at this age.
Partner's in crime.
Camille was in the middle of her "squishing her eye's closed for pictures" phase.
Homemade pizzas.
Brining in the rest of the peaches before the birds got to them.
Our neighborhood rose garden is out of this world in the spring time!
Just look at these lovelies!
Preschool graduation.
More relaxing.
"Cheese!"
More deep thoughts.
I always thought he looked extra handsome in this particular onesie.
Playing pirates with friends.
Pirates must have chocolate chip cookies and milk. :)
Our "bag lady."
"What dirt, Mom?"
Grant got my phone...
...which also explains pictures like this:
A trip to the library.
Cousin Hazel came to visit.
Sliding with Auntie Ann.
Slip 'n Slide fun with friends.
Helping Dad trim the bushes. Yikes!
Making a wish.
Trip to the pool. Ty looks pretty content.
Keith took the kids out on the aqua cycle.
I got in the water too!
When my sister's family was in town we had all of our family come over for dinner.
The boys gave their room to our guests and were happy to sleep on the floor in Camille's room.
Lunch at the pool with Hazel.
We also went to Organ Stop pizza with Hazel and her parents and my parents. It was fun!
