Thanksgiving 2016

We brought in Thanksgiving week by making and putting up our thankful tree.  It probably would have been better filled if we'd put it up earlier in the month like I'd hoped to.  Oh well!

We tied on our running shoes the morning of Thanksgiving and took our family on a Thanksgiving jog.  What a beautiful morning it was!
We made sure to stop and smell the roses along the way.  :)

We hosted Keith's family for Thanksgiving dinner this year.
These cute nieces of ours came over around noon and got to work helping me set the table for dinner.  All three of these girls ran a 10K Turkey Trot that morning!  Wowzers!

I think the tables turned out pretty great!  We'd been collecting the pinecones on our morning jogs earlier in the month and added in the candles (that I already had) and some fake squash.

After playing at the park for a while, these kids stayed busy watching Finding Dori while we finished getting things ready.

Keith was a great help with getting everything situated.

As soon as family started to gather, the football started with the boys.

The kids had fun coloring on this table cloth Keith's mom got for the occasion.

Look at how Camille adored that older cousin of hers.  So cute!

Keith's grandpa had a nice time watching all the activity.

We took some time for family pictures.

These two girls!

Then the feast began.  I lucked out and only had to make a few pies, and provide the ice cream, whipped cream, and the house.  I can totally handle that!  I have yet to master cooking a turkey!

The three littlest girls had their own little table.

Great Grandpa needed a nap after dinner so Camille showed him to her room and tucked him into her bed with her favorite blanket and lamb.  When she left the room she asked, "Door open, or door closed?"  It was the sweetest thing ever!

After we stuffed ourselves, we headed down the street for the kids to do a little  Turkey Trot around the park.

Then it was time for Thanksgiving Bingo.

I think we had enough pies!  Ha!  It was awesome!

Three out of four of Keith's sister's were there for the fun.  We missed his brother and other sister, but we'll take what we can get!

These cute girls had the grandest time together.

We ended the day with a book and went straight to bed.  It was such a fun day and wiped us all out really good!
